The Perfect Leather Jacket(s)

Last night, I laid in my bed owl-eyed, anxiously in search of two jackets: one brown and one black. Let it be known, this post is completely subjective. I like leather jackets that have an asymmetrical zip, so both jackets that I found last night zip asymmetrically. When unzipped jackets should flop around a bit and have a lot of give; you know, so it makes it looks like you almost dont care when you really do. Theres also only two colors I even like a light brown and black-- I'm a simple guy and a bit of a classicist. Anyway, my search lead me the first jacket made by Polo Ralph Lauren. I was a bit skeptic because of Polo's large range of clothing, but after looking at the price tag its got to be good. This jacket has a nice soft, distressed look, and some cargo space on the front. What really sold me was the side strap fastening, which makes it a little more flattering around the waist. Buy this one at Mr. Porter. The next jacket that is an absolute bargain at $850. It's made by Shipley and Halmos who's done increasingly well over the past year or so. This, by no surprise is also an asymmetrical zip jacket. I like this one because of its simplicity. It gives you the chance to put your own distressing on the jacket which is always fun. Find this at Shipley and Halmos
